We did it!

Well we had our inspection today and everything was good. A few little things need to be addressed but nothing big. Thank goodness! All we have to do it get the VA appraisal done and if that goes well we are in the clear and it will be ours for sure.

Our realtor must feel good about it because he put up the SOLD sign! Yay!!!

Our first really BIG purchase.

Our New Home

So on August 31 2010 Anthony and I signed the papers to buy our first home! We have the inspection on Tuesday and as long as everything goes well with all the closing stuff we will move in October 28th!

So to all you Utah people who have updated homes that look really cute inside and out. Us folk out here in Virginia get homes that were built in 1978 and have to remodel them. So as you can see it's not the prettiest home but with a little TLC I think I will love it.

This is the kitchen. As you can see I have to get a new kitchen eventually, I can live with it for now. (This picture makes it look a lot nice then it really is.)

This is the other side to the kitchen with a door leading to the back yard.

This the dinning room and that little bar/counter top is like a pass through to the kitchen.
On the other side is the living room.

This is the basement. The house itself is about 2,000 sq.ft. on 3 levels. I am getting really excited, I think this will be a great home for our little family. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that everything will go smooth!

On our way to Cali.

So we are back and we had a really fun time seeing family in California. We haven't seen or talked to any of them on over 8 years. So this trip to see all of them was WAY overdue.

The plane ride over to California. They did really good and Braxton even fell asleep. Awesome!

We finally land. Can't you just see all the excitement on their faces.

Anthony with Grandpa Jim. (This is his Mom's Dad)

First things first, the pool. Braxton with his Auntie's and cousins.

First Day

The boys playing hockey with their cousin Elijah.

With Auntie and Elijah cutting some watermelon.

Grandpa Jim took the family to eat Dim Sum for lunch. Carmine and Braxton just ate the rice.

Carmine with Hotsuko. (Grandpa's girlfriend/wife)

First time at the Beach

We took the boys to the beach for the first time and this is what Carmine did. he is so funny.

Braxton of course has to do the same thing.

Me taking the boys to the ocean for the first time.

They both really liked the beach. Carmine loved the water and waves, and Braxton was more about the sand and playing in it.

More Beach

Braxon playing in the sand. It was a little cold that day so I put Anthony's shirt on him.

Carmine flashing a "Shaka"

Family pic an Huntington Beach.

Carmine finds seaweed

Carmine pulling the seaweed out.....

.....Thinks, "Maybe I should put it back"......

......Now on his way back to the ocean.

Every time we left the beach he would cry. He loved it there. Just like his Mommy!

Grandpa John

We drove to go and see Grandpa John. (Anthony's Dad's Dad) When we got there he was showing us around and he has this big garden. The boys loved helping pull all the vegetables off the vines.

Braxton with the squash.

He had a ton of tomato's and they were sooo good. Anthony doesn't like tomato's but even he had to try one because they looked so good. (To bad he still didn't like them.)
