Cheese stacking

I fed Braxton string cheese that I had cut up.
He wasn't very interested in eating it.
When I came back I had noticed that he was stacking the cheese like blocks.
Then he would knock it over, and they went all over the floor.
At least he is being creative!

Shoes

Carmine recently learned how to wear flip flops. He loves them, and wears them everywhere. I love it because I don't have to put shoes on him anymore because he can do it himself.
So one day I took the boys outside to play with chalk because they were driving me nuts. Braxton was walking around and after about 5 mins. I noticed he was walking funny, then I noticed that I had put his shoes on the wrong feet! Again, this is why I love that Carmine can put on his own shoes.

Burke Lake Park

There is a little train at this park. Carmine loved it and Braxton, well I'm sure you know by the look on his face.
I had to hold Braxton the whole train ride. He held on so tight as you can see in the picture.
We then went on the carousel and again Carmine was excited and Braxton, not so much.
When we were on the train every time we passed people everyone would waive. Carmine did the same thing on the carousel ride, every time we would pass someone he would waive. His hand was waiving pretty much the whole time because there were so many people standing around. It was funny to watch.

Prayers

The boys are always praying. If Carmine didn't say "foad yer ars" = fold your arms
before every meal I know I wouldn't say them as much.
They are so cute and sweet!

Busted!

I went downstairs for about 5 mins. and I noticed that the boys weren't making any noise.
I knew they had to be up to something, so I go upstairs and I don't see them anywhere. I looked in the family room, no boys. I looked in the kitchen, no boys. Then I heard a noise, Mmm Mmm. so I followed the noise and this is where I found them. They knew they were not supposed to be in the closet so they thought if the closed the door I wouldn't see them.
When I saw what was going on I grabbed my camera because I knew this would be good. I opened the door and this was the look on Braxtons face.
They had gotten into the diaper bag and gotten into the raisins.
Carmine always gets Braxton to help him with his "Great ideas"

More fun at the lake

There were so many geese that day Carmine and Braxton couldn't stop looking at them.
Here they are sitting on a bench at the park.
I told Carmine to hold Braxtons hand. So cute!
When we were walking around the lake I passed by these lily pads. I had never seen any up close , I think they are so pretty.

Where we live

I thought I would take pictures of our little place so you could see where we live.

This is our backyard. Notice the orange flowers? Here is the story....

I decided to plant some flowers in the backyard to try to make it look nice. I went to Walmart and got 3 red flowers and 3 white flowers, or so I thought. When I got them they weren't in bloom yet so I went off the color it said it was on the stick. After I planted them I watered them and I loved them so they would bloom. I waited and waited, until one day I looked out my window and that's when I saw fluorescent ORANGE flowers! WHAT!!! Then a couple days later the others bloomed and guess what color they were? Bright YELLOW! So much for having white and red flowers. Never trust the unbloomed flowers at Walmart!

This is the lake right behind our house. It is about 3 miles around and has 3 parks on the way.

More pictures of the lake.
There are geese everywhere at the lake. One day I took the boys out and there were more gees then I have ever seen, they must have had babies.

Playing at Fairfax Corner

This is a fountain that is in the middle of and food and shopping center. They allow kids to play in the fountain, so I took the boys for the first time. As you can see they are very hesitant to go near the water.
Then Carmine decided to touch the water. Now Brax has to touch the water so Carmine won't think he's a scaredy cat.
Braxton decided he didn't want to touch the water anymore.
So Brax went back to the stroller for a snack, and Carmine saw food and came running over. Heaven forbid he misses a meal!!!
We ate lunch and I got them all dried and put on dry clothes. We shopped a little and on the way back to the car Carmine decided he wanted to go one last time......
And he made it count!!!!
By the time he was done he was soaking wet!
The water would shoot up then come down. Carmine was looking at where the water came up and the water shot right up in his face. He loved every minute of it.
We will definitely have to go back there soon.
Of course Barxton was still dry. If I sit Carmine down to eat and there is a hat or glasses on the table, he will have to put them on and eat his whole meal wearing it.

A day at Lake Accotink

There is a lake about 20 min. away from our house. It has a park, picnic area, carousel, paddle boats, etc. So we decided to take the boys there.

This is as close of a beach that Carmine and Braxton have been to. They had so much fun, except Carmine kept throwing the sand.

Two cute boys!!

When we were there someone had their dogs playing in the water and Braxton thought that was funny.

We took Braxton on the carousel for the first time. Do you think he is scared? This was the look on his face the whole time.

Super Carmine!

Carmine always throws the pillows on the floor. I guess one day he thought it would be fun to jump off in to them.
READY.......
GO!!!!
Face plant!
And then he did it again and again. He even got Braxton doing it. I'm glad they can entertain themselves.

A day at the park

Carmine loves to go down the slide but he can never get any speed, I wonder why?
Every time he goes down he puts his foot to the side, like a break so he can slow him self down.
Braxton loves to drive. Every time we go to the park he is either driving or people watching.
I don't think he ended up going down the slide. I think he turned around and went back to the steering wheel.
Here Carmine was pushing Braxton in the swing. Braxton thought it was so funny, he was laughing so hard.
We go to this park a lot, Carmine usually just looks at this climbing wall. One day I was looking for him, and I see him climbing up it! He did a good job, now he loves to climb it every time we go there.
Braxton likes to sit on this slide and people watch.
Then he saw Carmine going up this tube so he wanted to try it. As you can see in the look on his face he was very scared, but with a little help from Mom he did it.
Carmine on the other hand loves the tube!
And he's through!!!
