Old tunnel

Yesterday we went to this park in Old Town and there was this old rail way tunnel. The boys loved it that they could walk through the tunnel.

Rolling

At the park I taught the boys how to roll down the hill. They LOVED it! They ended up rolling down the hill more then they played on the playground.

A day in DC

I decided one Saturday morning that we were going to go into DC early and walk around the National Mall. We got there at about 7:30 am and it was perfect! There was hardly anyone there. Here are the boys at the World War II Memorial.

At the Lincoln Memorial. The only bad thing about that day is it was a bit cold and very windy.

More DC

The pillars at the Lincoln Memorial were Huge!

The view from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument.

All the cherry blossoms were long gone already. The walk around the Tidal Basin was fun though.

Even more DC

Here at the Jefferson Memorial. This was actually the first time I had been there too.

The Jefferson Memorial.

The Washington Monument.

And of course the White House. We all had fun and I hope that we can take advantage of all the history we have to see out our finger tips!

Monkeying around

I took the boys to the Zoo last week to have a picnic. They have an Orangutan crossing thing where they can cross the ropes and it takes them from one house to the next. It's crazy because while they are crossing they are literally right above you. They say the reason they don't jump down it because they are too smart. I really hope that's true!

The place where we sat to eat lunch was right under where they cross. The monkeys decided to cross and we got some good pictures!

This big guy was trying to catch the other two. The boys said they were playing tag. Look how huge he is!

Our new additions

They boys got some gold fish last week. They named them Nemo and Tie Die.

We will see how long they last :)

Getting ready for Fishing

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Sutera's house for Easter weekend. Here are the boys getting ready to go fishing with Grandpa and Grandpa Mark (family friend).

Getting dirty

When we got to the pond the boys HATED the bugs, dirt, bait fish and crickets. Here is Grandpa trying to "Man up" the boys. He told them to get their shoes wet.

Then Braxton was feeling daring and then he fell. Grandpa to the rescue! I will say though that by the time we left the boys had touched a cricket, held a mino fish and got muddy! It was a successful day.

Fishing

Here is Carmine TRYING to fish, as you can see he is fishing in the mud.

Grandpa helping Braxton cast the fishing pole.

Braxton was working very hard to catch a fish all day!

Carmine's first fish

Carmine caught his first fish!!!

And it was the first catch of the day! He was very proud!

Braxton's first fish

After Carmine caught that first fish Braxton wanted to just play and really wanted nothing to do with fishing. Then out of nowhere he said "Mommy, I want to catch a really big fish!" So I told him ,"ok go and get a pole." So he's standing there with the fishing pole and all of the sudden he starts saying, "I caught a fish, I caught a fish! and Grandpa and I look at each other thinking ya right (because the boys had been saying they caught a fish all day and nothing was on it.) So Braxton is trying to reel it in,( it was so cute to watch) he was holding on so tight! Then Carmine took over and he was reeling backwards and the handle fell off. So Grandpa and Carmine start to walk backward dragging the fish onto the shore. Braxton had caught the fish on the belly so it was crazy that the fish didn't escape. I did get a little of it on video so I will have to figure out how to down load that sometime.

Braxton was so proud! He said, " I caught a big fish, and now we can go home!"

Hi five Grandpa!

Grandpa Sutera and the boys.

Dinner

We all went to dinner that night at Texas De Brazil for Nick's birthday. Of course Nick was late so we have no pictures with him.

Mike and Carla (Anthony's Dad and step Mom)

And of course the best looking ones of the group, Ha Ha!

Easter Baskets

Easter morning the boys found their Easter baskets!

Grandma and Grandpa got them these really cute Easter egg shape full of candy thing. The boys loved them!
